Lived in Ashdon , the son of George Stewart 
 Died of wounds recieved on 21st November 1915 (aged 20) 
George is forever at rest in Chichester Cemetery.

Able Seaman James Freeman
HMS Good Hope 
Born in Ashdon and was the first from Ashdon to fall in the war 
 Lost in naval action on 1st November 1914 (aged 28) 
James has no known grave but is commemorated on Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Southsea.

Royal Field Artillery;. 86th Bty;. 32nd Bde 
Son of Richard and Ellen Kent of Church End. Oldest & 3rd of Kent brothers to fall 
 Killed in action on 21st October 1917 (aged 36) 
Albert is forever at rest in Cement House Cemetery, Langemark near Ypres, Belgium.

 Killed in action on 15th October 1917 (aged 32) 
Walter is forever at rest in Poelcapelle British Cemetery, West-Vlananderen, Belgium.

 Died of wounds received on 6th October 1918 (aged 28) 
Ephraim is forever at rest in Bucquoy Road Cemetery, South of Arras, France.

Lived in Ashdon, Robert was the second of three Bartram brothers to fall  
 Died of wounds received on 5th October 1918 (aged 21) 
Robert is forever at rest in Etaples Military Cemetery, near Boulogne, France.

Brother of Henry Robert Rowell (who also fell) and born in Ashdon
