NEXT SUSTAINABLE HOMES NETWORK MEETING ON 9 JUNE
Jenny Bishop, a Green Architect specialising in energy conservation, sustainability and historic conservation, will be giving a presentation on Wednesday 9 June starting at 8.00pm in the Council Chamber at Uttleford District Council, London Road, Saffron Walden CB11 4ER.
The title of her talk will be: Energy conservation, sustainability and older buildings... what are the practical steps that can be taken?
Jenny will be looking at the measures that can be taken to improve the thermal performance of older buildings, with examples from her listed 15C timber frame house, where she has seriously reduced the amount of oil used whilst maintaining a pleasant environment in which to live. She will also be looking at the use of sustainable materials in listed buildings, with their drawbacks and advantages.
