Village Magazine
Summer 2008

Our Village Magazine is a fantastic production, which won the "Most Promising Newcomer" award in the Village and Community Magazine Awards of 2007.

It is the primary source of current Ashdon community information, and provides us with, amongst other things, information on current events, news, announcements, stories of interest, a diary and details of Parish services.

The magazine is composed quarterly, and delivered to all homes in the village free of charge.  Additional copies are available in the Store.

This community website, www.ashdonparish.co.uk, is an important source of current and historic information about the village.

It provides a well maintained diary and noticeboard, details on clubs and services, the Parish Council and its activities and much more.

Ashdon Store Window

Store

There are two noticeboards in the Ashdon Store window.  These can be used for club and other community announcements, or to advertise businesses or buy and sell.  They are very heavily used.

Visit Ruth in the Store for details.

Roadside signs

Keep an eye out for roadside signs, either on the roads leading into Ashdon, or on an A-frame board  on the footpath opposite the pub.

These signs generally announce community events in the parish, and are only present in the days leading up to an event.
